SmartClinics Clinical Advisory Board consists of key opinion leaders within the SmartClinics Group who have significant research and clinical experience in General Practice. The Clinical Advisory Board informs, guides and advises the SmartClinics Management Team on a broad range of important matters relating to the effective performance of SmartClinics. Such strong guidance will enable SmartClinics to continue to provide our team with an environment where we can offer our patients a truly remarkable healthcare experience and maximise our ability to deliver results that are clinically and commercially significant.
Dr. Robert Brown
Dr Robert (Bob) Brown began practicing as a General Practitioner in 1980, following a four-year stint in the Australian Army in Papua New Guinea and Brisbane where he was last posted as a Public Health Doctor on Petrie Terrace. Dr Brown gained his qualifications (MBBS) from the University of Queensland and passed FRACGP in 1984.
Dr Brown devotes a good deal of his ‘free time’ to working within local medical associations as well as the Australian Medical Association (AMA), on a state and national level. Dr Brown was the AMAQ President in 1997-98. He remains involved in the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, after being on the Faculty in the early 1990s.
Dr. Scott Horsburgh
Dr Horsburgh is a caring and trusted General Practitioner with 10 years experience. For the last three years, Dr Horsburgh has worked at SmartClinics Annerley (previously Annerley Medical Centre). Prior to that Scott worked in Emergency Medicine in multiple locations across Queensland.
Dr. Jo Hallinan
Dr Hallinan started at SmartClinics Family Medical Centres in late 2012 and brought with her a wealth of General Practice and Emergency Medicine experience. Jo has been in practice for nearly 10 years and received her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Queensland. Jo loves seeing the whole spectrum of life through pregnancy, birth, childhood, the challenging adolescent years, middle age and then working with the elderly as part of her role as a GP.
Dr. Frank Occhino
Dr Occhino grew up in the Redlands area. He obtained his Medical and Masters Degrees at the University of Queensland. Dr Occhino spent 2 years in residency at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and 3 months as the Acting Medical Superintendent at Prospering Hospital. He has spent 10 years in private practice in Ayr, North Queensland and 26 years in Corinda, where he currently practises.
Dr. Graham McNally
Dr Graham McNally practices at our Taigum family medical clinic and has special interests in dermatology and respiratory medicine, he is also an examiner for The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Graham is a family man who enjoys bush walking, he is the father of two adult children and two beautiful granddaughters.
