Dr Reza Modarres
Dr Reza Modarres sees patients at Lutwyche, Chermside and Windsor
Dr Reza Modarres has been working in General Practice for over 14 years. He completed his medical degree at the Isfahan university of Medical Sciences, Iran and then worked as GP in Iran and Abu Dhabi before moving to Australia. Dr Modarres has worked in Melbourne in Eastern Health Hospitals and also as orthopaedic medical officer at Queensland Health.
Dr Modarres has been involved in musculoskeletal medicine since 2011 when he started working as a medical officer in orthopaedic unit at Logan Hospital and Gold Coast Hospital.
He has been assisting different orthopaedic surgeons in upper and lower limb surgeries, consulting patients with variety of musculoskeletal conditions and attending several national and international courses and conferences in PRP, musculoskeletal ultrasound and sport medicine.
In 2014 Dr Modarres received the Fellowship of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Dr Modarres believes in multidisciplinary approach in management of all medical conditions. Treatment of bone, joint and tendon conditions can not be achieved by surgical interventions alone and requires a team approach. Following consultation and assessment, Dr Modarres provides patients with information about the diagnosis of their medical condition and the management plan and offers some outpatient procedures as well as referral to allied health and specialists, if required.
In his spare time, Dr Modarres likes to play tennis and is also a serious contender in dance competitions.
