Dr Alexandra Pietsch
Dr Alexandra (Ally) Pietsch has been in general practice since 2018. She sees patients at SmartClinics Walton Bridge, in The Gap, Brisbane. Ally graduated from the University of Queensland with her MBBS and is now a Registrar Member with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Prior to working with SmartClinics as a General Practitioner she worked at a number of Brisbane hospitals and other general practices in Toowong and Springfield.
Born in Australia, Ally is an avid traveller and recently spent six months overseas. Her favourite pastimes are spending time with her husband and golden retriever at the beach (always wearing sunscreen). Passionate about women’s health, Ally has recently trained in Mirena insertion and removal, along with any associated counselling and advice required.
I love to travel. I recently spent six months overseas. My favourite hobby is spending a day at the park or on the beach with my husband and our golden retriever.
I really like being part of peoples’ lives through the ups and downs and caring for the whole family.
There is nothing healthy about a tan.
I consider it really important that patients are given a safe space in the consult room where they can seek care for all of their issues, no matter how scared or embarrassed they were before they walked into the room.
To minimise your risk of contracting the flu, maintain good hand hygiene practices.
I want you to talk to me about the thing you are most worried about – there will be no judgement!
The most memorable moments are often the ones where you least expect to have to put your doctor hat on – at a musical in Melbourne, by the pool in Bali…
