Dr Mohini Prasad

Dr. Prasad completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of the Pacific in 2001. Following eight years of practice in Fiji, she relocated to Australia, achieving Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2014.

Dr. Prasad, with a comprehensive background in General Practice, holds a particular focus on Adolescent, Mental Health, and Chronic Disease Management. Her primary passion, however, lies in Women's Health, backed by four years of vocational clinical experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in Fiji.

During her tenure in Fiji, Dr. Prasad served as the secretary of the Standards Committee and chaired the Education Committee - Central Faculty at the Fiji College of General Practitioners. Actively involved in organising educational programs for GPs, she also conducted health awareness programs 'on air.'

With additional certifications in Family Planning from Monash University (2007) and Reproductive and Sexual Health for Doctors from Family Planning Alliance Australia (2021), Dr. Prasad aligns with Mater Mother's and Metro North Antenatal Care. She specialises in IUD and Implanon insertions and removals.

A compassionate advocate for preventative medicine and holistic well-being, Dr. Prasad dedicates her spare time to the Australian NGO, Health In Kind, contributing to community outreach medical programs, particularly for women, children and adolescents.

Having attended a United World College in Canada in 1995, Dr. Prasad gained exposure to diverse cultural backgrounds, enriching her understanding of social dynamics impacting individual and communal well-being from a young age.

Beyond her medical pursuits, Dr. Prasad enjoys reading, poetry, and outdoor sports and adventures with her son.
