The Government introduced new Bulk Billing Practice Incentive Payments from 1st November 2025. While this is a positive step, the incentive does not cover the full cost of providing high-quality care. Therefore, SmartClinics will continue to charge an appropriate out-of-pocket fee for some consultations to ensure we can keep delivering high-quality care to our community. Please refer to the relevant clinic standard consultation fees list for more information.

Dr Kemi Adu

Dr Kemi Adu is an experienced Specialist General Practitioner who has been practising in Australia for several years. She is deeply committed to supporting women at every stage of life, hence her passion for women’s health, with a special interest in perimenopause and menopause. She is also passionate about mental health care.

Her work is guided by a genuine passion for caring for people during their vulnerable moments. This compassion underpins her clinical approach and shapes the supportive and respectful environment she creates for her patients. Dr Kemi’s focus on women’s health comes from her understanding that many women prioritise others over themselves and may feel uncertain or hesitant about raising their own health concerns. She is especially dedicated to menopause management, recognising the profound and far-reaching benefits that appropriate care can have not only for women but also for their families and the wider community.

Dr Kemi practises using a holistic approach that thoughtfully considers this for individualised treatment plans. She values an integrative approach to medicine, understanding that optimal outcomes are achieved when the whole person and various care modalities are considered. Active listening, shared decision-making, and patient education are central to her consultations, ensuring women feel informed, supported, and empowered in their health.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Kemi has served as a RACGP examiner, and she continues to contribute to the profession as a GP registrar supervisor and mentor to healthcare professionals in general practice.

Outside of medicine, Dr Kemi enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, travelling, and exploring the arts, history, and culture.
