Dr. Nicola Chung was born and raised in the United Kingdom. She graduated from Imperial College London in 2006.

Her extensive and diverse hospital training at West Middlesex, Northwick Park, and Newham Hospitals has equipped her with a broad skill set and deep knowledge in various medical specialties.

Dr. Chung completed her General Practice training in London and has been dedicated to providing exceptional care as a General Practitioner (GP) for the past 12 years. She demonstrates a deep interest in all aspects of family medicine. Her approach to patient care is both comprehensive and empathetic, ensuring that each individual receives the attention and treatment they need.

Dr Mark Goss was born in Australia and has been working in General Practice since 2007.

His special interests include:

General Medicine, Pregnancy Care, Paediatrics, Skin Cancer Medicine & Surgery, Cosmetic Medicine, cosmetic consults for injectables, no scalpel mole removal, and PRP (referred to as the “vampire face-lift”). Dr Samuel Neller obtained his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Queensland in 2014. He worked at the Redcliffe Hospital during his internship and Junior House Officer rotations. He received his fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2019.

Dr Neller is experienced in a wide range of healthcare areas and is particularly interested in Skin Cancer. He is well-known for his expertise and is highly skilled in its early detection and management. Dr Daniel Han graduated with MBBS Hons from James Cook University in 2011. He moved to Brisbane and worked for an extensive period at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Greenslopes Private Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital. He gained a wide range of experience in specialities including cardiology, endocrinology and geriatrics. He then completed training in general practice in Toowoomba.

Dr Han believes in wholistic care and actively engages in preventive health. He is interested in all aspects of general practice, especially in the fields of skin cancer detection, diabetes optimisation and osteoporosis management.

Dr Rohini Wickrama commenced practising in Australia in 2008. She became an accredited Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2018.

Dr Rohini Wickrama is a compassionate GP with a keen interest in Mental Health, Travel Medicine, Skin Cancer, Women’s Health, Adolescent Health, Paediatric and Chronic Disease Management. Dr Anmar Aydami is an experienced family doctor seeing patients in Taigum. Dr. Susan Swanston is a highly skilled GP currently working in Cairns and has done for several years. She has a vast experience in many fields of medicine and is a fully trained and qualified vascular surgeon.

Dr Nick has been practising as a family GP for over 25yrs and happily sees all patients. He also has a special interest in Men’s Health – in particular health checks, skin checks. sexual dysfunction, STI checks and education. All consultations are confidential, professional and non-judgemental. Dr Nick is a private billing practitioner but he is happy to bulk bill children under 16yrs and offers reduced fees to concessions and pension card holders.

Dr Celina is a Gp who sees patients at SmartClinics Annerley.  She was born in Malaysia before moving to Australia in 2011, where she completed her Bachelor of Surgery and Medicine at the University of Queensland.  She worked at the Princess Alexandra and Redlands Hospitals, where she worked in several disciplines including Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Cardiology, Paediatric Emergency and Renal Medicine.

Her special interests include women’s health, children’s health, antenatal shared care and postnatal care, as well as family planning. Dr Celina loves getting to know her patients over time and building a relationship where she can help them achieve better health through preventative measures and holistic care.

After an early career as a high-school teacher, Deborah spent four years working with churches and communities devastated by AIDS in southern Africa. Her own journey with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), diagnosed in 2005, had a huge impact on her desire to help people battling an autoimmune disease. Deborah now utilises scientifically validated nutraceuticals and dietary interventions to assist in the management of MS and autoimmune disease for her patients, after having seen the improvements in her own health.

Dr Babatunde completed his primary medical degree 19years ago at the prestigious University College Hospital UCH Ibadan in Nigeria. Since attaining his degree, he’s had the opportunity to work in four different countries. This has help him bring to  Australia a wealth of medical experience spanning from working in The Caribbean’s, Africa, and Canada.

Dr Babatunde started working locally in Lowood in 2013 and hopes to continue to serve the community as a caring GP. He also has a special interest in the areas of Skin Cancer and Mental Health and has undergone additional training to better understand, diagnose, and manage patients in these specialised areas. He especially loves listening to his patients, paying attention to their individual needs and treating them as a ‘person and not just another patient coming through the door’.

Away from the clinic (which is rare) he enjoys travelling the world with his wife and children to explore places and other cultures.He also loves to socialise with friends, family, and loved ones and hobbies include singing, cooking and swimming.

Dr Lean is an experienced Family Doctor who has over 25 years’ experience in General Practice. Dr Lean completed his medical degree at the University of Queenslandand has mostly practiced medicine in the Deception Bay area. Born in Papua New Guinea, Dr Lean can speak both English and Pijin-Melanesian. He is a Director of a not-for-profit organisation called “One Salt Water” that is dedicated to carrying out community development projects both locally and abroad, including Aboriginal Australia, PNG, Vanuatu, Tonga, and Thailand.

He has a special interest in family care as well as helping patients who are going through grief and spiritual issues. Dr Lean’s goal is to foster long term connections with his patients to help them and their families throughout their journey. Dr Lean has five grown children and four grandchildren. In his spare time he likes to keep fit and enjoys running, cycling, and swimming.

Dr Lazzarini is a Brisbane GP who sees patients at SmartClinics Taigum Family Medical Centre. Since completing her medical degree at The University of Queensland, Dr Lazzarini has worked the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital in the Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care units. She has also worked as a GP at Arana Hills Medical Centre.  Dr Lazzarini enjoys providing her patients with continuity of care, by getting to know them and understanding their individual health needs.

Since moving to Australia with her husband, Dr Aditya (who is also GP at SmartClinics Annerley) Dr Harza has worked as a Resident Medical Officer at the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital and the Mater Public Hospital.  Since 2008, Dr Harza has been working as a General Practitioner and enjoys helping her patients through a wide range of health conditions. Dr Susnja is an experienced GP who is interested in all aspects of General Practice. Dr Susnja completed her medical degree at the University of Tasmania in 1995 and spent the following two years at Launceston General Hospital (Tasmania) before undertaking the GP training program in Victoria. Dr Susnja then spent time working in general practice in North West Tasmania, Newcastle and Toowoomba before settling permanently in north Brisbane in 2004.

Dr Susnja particularly likes the diversity of general practice and forming long-term supportive relationships with her patients. She finds it especially rewarding to work within a team as unique as Smartclinics Taigum, where everyone shares the same level of care, interest and dedication to patients and fellow colleagues. Dr Madhu is a General Practitioner trained and qualified in the United Kingdom where he practiced for 14 years before moving to Australia with his young family in 2017.

Dr Madhu is a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.  He has sub-specialist interests in medical cannabis, veteran affairs, menopause (natural hormones) , workers compensation and implanon.

When not at the clinic, Dr Madhu enjoys reading, travelling, cooking and the odd game of cricket with friends.

Dr Sheu was born in Taiwan and is fluent in English and Mandarin. After spending most of her younger years in Brisbane, Dr Sheu moved to Sydney where she completed her Medical Degree at the University of New South Wales. Since graduating from medical school in 2008, Dr Sheu has worked in the tertiary hospitals in Sydney and as a GP caring for families. Dr Sheu is highly skilled in broad range of general health services. She particularly enjoys helping women make informed choices about contraception and family planning, caring for pregnant women and managing issues with fertility. Dr Kan has been practising as a GP for over 30 years and who has a special interest in family care. He gained his medical qualifications and training in Brisbane and has been practising at the same Sherwood Surgery for 30 years prior to joining SmartClinics Corinda.

Dr Peter Bailey is a GP at SmartClinics Deception Bay. Has been a GP since 1987 and has worked at the Moreton Medical Centre for the last 12 years. Dr Jansen studied Biomedical Health Sciences and Medicine at the University of Nijmegen (The Netherlands) and obtained his medical degree in 2005. After moving to Australia in 2012, he started physician training in 2013. He trained in teaching hospitals in Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane before attaining fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2017 in the subspecialty of Endocrinology. Pieter has a special interest in endocrine hypertension and studied the role of aldosterone and aldosterone blockade in hypertension as part of his PhD at the Ersamus University Rotterdam (The Netherlands). He also has a particular interest in medical education and has joined the St. Lucia Clinical Unit in February 2018.

Dr Jonathan Bird is a registered Osteopath working Monday through to Thursday at Smartclinics, Wenvoe Street Devonport. He is a caring and reliable practitioner who provides tailored care to each patient. Dr Perera was raised in the Northern Territory and spent several of his early teen years in the United States of America and Sri Lanka.  Graduating from the University of Tasmania in 1991, he gained wide experience in many specialist areas including Surgery, Obstetrics and Paediatrics.  Dr Perera holds an Australian Certificate in Civil Aviation Medicine and a Certificate in Dermatology from Monash University.  Dr Perera is a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) for the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and has special interest in skin cancer surgery.

Dr Perera joined the Raintrees Medical Service team in 2007 following the retirement of his partners at the Kobi Clinic.  Becoming a father to two children deepened his appreciation of Family Medicine.  Dr Perera loves the outdoors and when weather and time permitting he is out appreciating some of the North’s world class trails on his mountain bike.

Dr Rafter was raised in Spain by her Irish father and Australian mother, and speaks fluent Spanish. She studied medicine at Edinburgh University before completing her GP training in England and Scotland. After brief stints of work in Honduras, South Africa and Liverpool, Dr Rafter came to Cairns in 1998. The outdoor lifestyle and the arrival of two children have kept her here ever since. Dr Sadeghi sees patients at SmartClinics Clayfield. He graduated from School of Medicine in 1994 and has been practicing medicine ever since. Being around as a doctor for a quarter of a century has made him quite boring according to him. He moved to Australia in 2003 and began his PhD at the University of Queensland (UQ) while he continued practicing medicine here in Australia. He started general practice in QLD from Toowoomba in 2004 which made that city one of his favourite spots for the rest of his life.  After finishing his PhD on Epidemiology of the Oesophageal Carcinoma in 2007 he moved back to full time general practice and obtained his general registration followed by his fellowship in general practice (FRACGP). In 2011 he also was accepted to registrar training program at the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery and obtained his fellowship in cosmetic surgery in 2013. Ever since he has managed to continue practicing medicine in two areas of general practice, and cosmetic surgery, skin cancer and skin disease.

Shahram is interested in all aspects of general practice, with a particular special interest in skin cancer and skin disease, chronic illnesses (cardiovascular, and diabetes) as well as paediatrics and men’s health.
