Appointments
Patients with appointments will have preference except in emergencies. You can make an appointment with any doctors online by clicking the pink booking button or by calling our reception team on (07) 3848 9299.
Please let our receptionist know if you require prompt attention for matters such as chest pain, burns, eye injury etc. Appointments are normally made at 10 minute intervals, however this may change if there have been emergencies or if the surgery is very busy. If you feel you require a longer consultation please discuss this with the receptionist prior to making an appointment. For continuity of care it is recommended to see your usual doctor but if not available you are welcome to see one of the other doctors in the practice.
Recalls and reminders
It is best practice to operate a recall system for abnormal results for pathology, radiology or specialist. Your local SmartClinics has a recall system in place and we ask for your understanding and acceptance of this policy. If necessary, you will be contacted by one of the Doctors, Nursing Sisters or Receptionists – by letter, phone or SMS – usually to make an appointment concerning these results.
Release of records :
Records will be released after receiving signed consent from the patient. A full set of records do possess an administration fee.
There are no charges for a Health Summary however if you are requesting access to additional information where the volume of information we hold is large, we may charge a reasonable administration fee (including fees for photocopying).
After Hours Service
There are a number of SmartClinics Family Medical Centres around Queensland which remain open late and on the weekend when most other medical centres are closed.
While some Doctors provide home visiting services, they are often limited in the services they can provide. At our after hours medical centres, you can receive treatment for a broad range of minor illnesses and conditions when you need to, so you can feel better sooner. CLICK HERE to find out which clinics are open after hours. Or you can call our clinic phone and you will be directed to our after hours service.
Home Visits
House calls can be arranged at the discretion of your doctor. Please remember that some problems are better managed at the surgery. Requests for house calls are best made before 9am.
