Clinic Fees – WE ARE A MIXED BILLING CLINIC SmartClinics West End offers mixed billing and private billing options. The fee could vary depending on the day, time and length of your appointment. Bulk Billing is available for DVA Gold card holders, Aged Pension card holders and children under the age of 16 years. All fees are displayed at reception in the medical centre.
If you would like specific cost information before your appointment, call our friendly reception team at West End on (07) 3844 4111.
Patients are asked to pay in full on the day of consultations. We accept contactless and card payments to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. For your convenience we can process your claim through Medicare online and your rebate will be deposited into your nominated bank account within 24/48 hours, provided that you have registered your bank details with Medicare.
Cancellation Policy – As you can appreciate our doctors have allocated a specific time to see you. As a result, please be aware that there is a $50 cancellation fee for non-attendance or if less than 24 hours’ notice is provided.

Skin Cancer Checks at West End Your skin health is important throughout your entire life. No one is immune to skin cancer, and in Queensland, with one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the entire world, skin checks are particularly important. We encourage all our patients at SmartClinics West End to schedule regular skin checks to ensure that any potential aberrations are monitored and acted upon if need be. If you’re concerned about any unusual spots on your skin or would like to book a skin check, speak with your GP or click here to make an appointment now. Dr Innes Campbell will Bulk Bill skin cancer check consultations.
Before calling our clinic or booking an appointment with your GP, please take a moment to read through these Frequently Asked Questions. They have been developed to help answer some general questions you might have about COVID-19. The information provided is correct as of 17th January 2022.
CORONAVIRUS HEALTH ALERT
The threat level of COVID-19 in Queensland is escalated. For the safety of our patients and staff, we encourage telephone appointments (where possible).
If a face-to-face appointment is required, it will be time-limited, and we request that all patients wear a face mask while in the clinic.
We also observe social distancing >1.5m and limit the number of patients in our waiting room.
If you have symptoms of the flu, a cold, or a loss of sense of smell or taste, then a COVID-19 test is necessary. Please refer to the Queensland Government website for a list of COVID-19 clinics and testing centres.
If you are unwell and have respiratory symptoms, please ask for a telephone appointment with a GP, and a safe review will be arranged. Please be assured that our clinic is COVID-19 safe.
The Government has restricted Medicare GP telehealth items to circumstances where a patient has COVID-19 and/or is a close contact and is required to quarantine or isolate under a state directive, or where there is an existing relationship with a general practice (i.e., the patient has visited a GP in the practice face-to-face in the last 12 months), children aged under 12 months, or patients who are homeless. Please be aware that a private fee may be incurred for telephone or video consults.
