Dr Rhys Birmingham

Rhys is a graduate of the University of Queensland, initially obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree before commencing his studies in medicine. He completed the bulk of his training at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital, with time also spent at Greenslopes Private Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Prior to becoming a doctor Rhys worked in a number of fields including nursing, science and mental health, and upon graduation was immediately drawn to General Practice due to the long term and comprehensive relationships it allows doctors and patients to form with each other. Rhys keeps a broad focus in general practice but particularly enjoys adult and preventative medicine.

When not at work, Rhys can be identified by his tuneless electric guitar playing, sending people and animals alike scurrying in all directions.
