Dr Farhana Moushumi
Dr Farhana Moushumi is a compassionate and experienced GP dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centred healthcare for women, children, families, and individuals of all ages. She believes in taking the time to listen, understand each patient’s unique circumstances, and work collaboratively to achieve the best possible health outcomes.
Welcoming new patients at SmartClinics Pullenvale, Dr Farhana provides comprehensive general practice care for patients across Pullenvale, Kenmore, Brookfield, Moggill, Pinjarra Hills and the wider south-west Brisbane community.
Dr Farhana has a special interest in women’s health and is passionate about supporting patients through every stage of life. Her clinical interests include women’s health, antenatal shared care, contraception and Mirena insertion, menopause management, sexual health, weight loss management, iron infusions, child and adolescent health, mental health, chronic disease management, preventative health, and minor procedures including skin excisions.
She holds a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), a Master of Public Health (MPH), and an Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRANZCOG Advanced).
With more than a decade of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr Farhana has worked in major tertiary hospitals including Westmead and Liverpool Hospitals in Sydney, as well as regional hospitals in Tweed Heads and Rockhampton. This extensive experience has provided her with advanced skills in women’s health, pregnancy care and preventative healthcare.
Since 2019, Dr Farhana has practised as a GP and GP proceduralist, combining her specialist experience with the continuity of care that general practice provides. She enjoys building long-term relationships with her patients and helping them navigate both acute and ongoing health concerns.
Patients appreciate Dr Farhana’s warm, approachable manner and her commitment to creating a welcoming environment where they feel heard, respected and supported. She is dedicated to empowering patients with the knowledge and guidance they need to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.
Bulk billing may be available for children aged 15 years and under, and for patients who hold a current Centrelink Health Care Card or Pension/Concession Card.
