
Dr Dip Chand
Please note that Dr Chand is retiring from medical practice as of 1st July 2025.
Dr Chand currently sees patients at SmartClinics Carseldine and Chermside. He has been working as a Senior Medical Officer and General Practitioner in Australia for the past 16 years, which means he is exceptionally well placed to deal with minor trauma conditions as well as general medical concerns. Dip’s qualifications are extensive, with 6 medical fellowships across a broad range of areas including Emergency medicine, rural & remote medicine, general practice and child health with post gradual training in paediatrics from West Mead Children’s hospital and university of Sydney. He is also about to finish specialist training in sports medicine.
Dip grew up in Fiji and later moved to Australia to pursue his ambitions of being a Doctor. In addition to working at SmartClinics, Dip regularly volunteers his time to improve the health of people living in third world and developing nations. Dip has also been an elite athlete, competing in the Commonwealth Games and other international competitions as a distance runner and walker.
