We welcome new patients and offer both pre-booked and walk-in appointments, making it easier to access a doctor in South Brisbane when you need one most.
Appointments & Clinic Information
- Patient documentation collection: 8:00am – 2:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Open every second Saturday: 9:00am – 12:00pm (by appointment only)
- Telehealth available for existing patients who have attended the clinic in person within the last 12 months
If you are running late, please call us as soon as possible. Patients arriving more than 15 minutes late may need to reschedule.
To ensure continuity of care and confidentiality, appointments must be booked directly with your doctor. We do not accept email requests for prescriptions, referrals, or appointment changes, and our doctors do not discuss clinical matters via email.

Please note that bookings for Thyroid Conditions, Male/Female Hormone Conditions, Chronic Fatigue, Skin Checks/procedures and Cervical Screens all require a longer appointment so we ask that you please call the clinic reception to make a booking rather than booking online.
Our team also offers lifestyle profiles and advice regarding fitness and nutrition, so contact us if you’d like to improve your everyday wellness. We’ll be happy to help you on the path to better health.
If you seek a medical consultation with one of the doctors, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. Most consultations take about 15 minutes but if you feel that you may need longer for the doctor to deal with your particular health problem, then please let the receptionist know when you’re booking your appointment.
When booking your appointment, you’ll be offered the next available time to see either your regular doctor or one of our other practice doctors. You will need an appointment with your doctor for new consultations and also for repeat prescriptions, specialist referrals and for receiving test results.
Fees
SmartClinics Toowong is a private billing clinic and fees apply to all consultations, there is no bulk billing on weekends. A fee list is available from reception or by clicking here.

Welcome to SmartClinics Toowong
If you’re looking for a trusted doctor in Toowong, our friendly team of experienced male and female GPs are here to care for you and your family. As a well-established GP clinic in Toowong, we provide a wide range of health services in a supportive and professional environment.
We are currently welcoming new patients, and for your convenience, we also offer walk-in appointments so you can see a doctor when you need one most. Whether it’s a regular check-up or urgent care, our Toowong doctors are here to support your health and wellbeing.
After hours care
In a medical emergency, your best course of action is to head to the emergency department of your nearest hospital, which could be your closest public hospital or the Wesley Private Hospital in Auchenflower. An ambulance can be called by dialling 000.
If you need to see a GP for a non-urgent medical appointment, SmartClinics Chermside offers late night GP appointments.
Release of records
There are no charges for a Health Summary however if you are requesting access to additional information where the volume of information we hold is large, we may charge a reasonable administration fee (including fees for photocopying).
Telehealth & video appointments

Telehealth is available to current patients only who have physically seen a GP at this clinic in the past 12 months. When you book a telehealth or video appointment at our clinic, you will now receive an SMS from us requesting your credit card details to hold your booking. This SMS will come from HotDoc and is secure and safe to use. No funds will be deducted from your card until after your appointment.
Results
Results are only given to patients during a medical consultation with their doctor. Your doctor will advise you to make a further appointment at the time of the consultation when the particular tests are ordered. All results will be Privately Billed.
Recalls and reminders
It is best practice to operate a recall system for abnormal results for pathology, radiology or specialists. Your local SmartClinics has a recall system in place, and we ask for your understanding and acceptance of this policy. If necessary, you will be contacted by one of the doctors or practice nurses – by letter, phone or SMS – to make an appointment to discuss these results.
Transferring Medical Records
If you would like your medical records transferred to another doctor, our policy is that a summary of your record is forwarded. Copies are forwarded directly to the doctor after we receive written authorisation signed by the patient and the new doctor. We hold the original records for medico-legal reasons. A fee may be charged to cover the costs of printing, posting and checking of the records – you will be notified if a fee is to be charged.
