Dr Mrunali Nar

Dr Nar (also known as Dr June) has been working as a General Practitioner (GP) in the Australia for the last 6 years. She now aims at providing patient centric care at SmartClinics Family Medical Centre Brisbane City.

After completing her MBBS degree from India in 2008, she worked as a GP for 8 years before moving to Melbourne in 2017. She worked for the 5 years in Melbourne and then moved to Brisbane in 2022.

She has completed her general practice training in Melbourne and is a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

Dr Nar’s special interests are Women’s health including management of menstrual issues in young girls as well as older women, menopause, early pregnancy, Pap smears (cervical cancer screening), contraception advice and Implanon insertion and removal.

Dr Nar is also very experienced in chronic disease management including Diabetes, asthma, hay fever, hypertension(high blood pressure), heart disease, high cholesterol, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, gastrointestinal issues like reflux, gastritis, indigestion and skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, acne.

She can also assist patient with mental health including depression, anxiety, insomnia(lack of sleep) and stress related issues.

Other interests of Dr Nar include geriatric health including complete health assessments, preventative care, vaccinations, falls prevention, as well as aliasing with the specialists and allied health providers to ensure continuity of care is provided.

A resident of Brisbane, Dr Nar loves spending time with her young family when not practicing medicine.
